Procedure
Sample Preparation:
- Apply test and calibration paint to black plastic panel - Gap clearance: 7 mils (180µm) and film width: 5 ¼ in. (135 mm)
- Air dry one week in horizontal position (23 ± 2°C)
- Cut panels in two halves and weigh
Procedure
- Place the two half panels side by side
- Attach in water soaked sponge and abrasive pad
- Distribute scrub medium
- Scrub until black substrate is visible on one of the two panels
- During first 200 cycles change pad direction after 50 cycles
- Record no. of scrub cycles once scrub marks are visible
- Reweigh dried panels and calculate weight loss
