- No temperature correction is necessary at the sample solution of 41°F (5°C) to 176°F (80°C)
- Interferences - Coexistence of Bromide ion, lodide ion or Cyanide ion respectively with Chloride ion gives higher readings. Sulphide ion produces a brown stain and the coexistence with Chloride ion produces a brown stain in the bottom of the stained layer and gives higher readings. PH value within 3.5 to 11 does not affect the readings. Less than pH 3.5 or more than pH 11 gives higher readings. Chemical Reaction in the Detector Tube: NaCl + Ag2CrO4 = AgCl

Procedure
- Pour CHLOR* EXTRACT™ into CHLOR* SLEEVE™.
- Peel off protective backing, pinch CHLOR* SLEEVE™ and adhere sleeve to surface to be tested.
- Massage extract against surface for 2 minutes, then peel from surface.
- Safely snap off both ends of the titration tube with the metal cutter.
- Insert glass titration tube into sleeve. Approximately 2 minutes later, a simple color change will identify the chloride level in both parts per million and micro grams per centimeter squared. Can be used on vertical, horizontal or overhead surfaces.
You can also insert shoelace into side holes of the box and tie it around waist or belt loops for hands-free testing.
